Recently Google Adsense issued a new policy, one of which is by asking us to make changes or install the ads.txt file on our blog or website in the root folder so that Google robots can access and verify the ads.txt file directly via the address
For normal websites, I don't think it's a significant problem. Because all we have to do is put the ads.txt file that can be obtained from our Adsense dashboard page into the hosting where our website is located.
But for users of the blogger or blogspot platform where they wrap their blogger or blogspot address with a custom domain, the above problem will be a little difficult. Here I want to share my experience when I encountered a problem like the image below, and what I did to overcome the error / warning message on the Google Adsense dashboard about fix now ads.txt.
SOLUTION
Please follow the steps below to solve the problem as you can see in the image above.
Download the ads.txt file from your Google Adsense Dashboard.
Enter Blogger, and select the blog or website you want to manage (if you have more than one).
Then on the left there is a set of menus, look for the Settings menu.
Then go to Search preferences.
in the Monetization - Custom ads.txt section, please select Enable. Then fill in according to the text in the ads.txt file that you got in step 1 above.
The last step, still in the same menu (Search preferences). In the Custom robotheader tags section, select Enable and set it according to the Checklist below :
